Barbara Gentile-Crary, quarterback and all-star player of sorts with over 20 years in the high-tech industry, coupled with her love of photography, sports and teaching, and her desire to share it with the rest of the world, she became a PADI scuba instructor (and met her husband, Carter) achieving over 10 specialties with her dive instructor rating and became an underwater photographer. Barbara also has a BS in Biology and Chemistry, and MBA in Operations Management and Finance.

As co-owner of Malibu Divers, she continues to teach scuba diving to private clientele, including special introductory scuba programs for youth, girl scouts, families, and women. Her photography, Under Our Oceans, appears in office buildings, medical facilities, private homes and museums. She has been invited to present her photographs, and her stories for organizations, businesses, schools and a variety of clubs. Also, she became underwater scuba actor for the original and subsequently released PADI Open Water instructional video, the largest release of scuba educational materials in the world. Over the years, Barb has traveled extensively including: China, Japan, Palau, Europe, the Caribbean, Mexico, Galapagos Islands and Latin America.

Throughout all of her life and to today, her dedication to the environment, health and fitness and her genuine love of sports and athletics continues in scuba diving, skiing, mountain biking, hiking, surfing, 10K races and marathons, and just being in the great outdoors.
